The Virtual EHS Law Firm™
For many kinds of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) issues, clients need sophisticated
expertise more than a phalanx of lawyers.  The 20th century large law firm model is not particularly
well suited to providing cost-effective, targeted legal assistance for EHS matters.  Often, what
clients need is personal attention from a lawyer who understands their issues and has dealt with such
issues many times before.  Legal and technical research; document assembly; and communications
with clients, co-counsel, and courts and agencies can be accomplished as well today by an individual
or a few lawyers as by a large law firm.  And with the latest technology, it is possible for expert
lawyers to work together from many locations to assemble the most effective team for any
particular EHS problem.

Operating as FryeLaw PLLC, Russell Frye will continue to do the majority of his clients’ work
himself, but can bring appropriate additional expertise in when needed. Continuing to work
closely with Collier Shannon Scott, Russ will be able to call on the resources of the Collier
Shannon Scott environmental practice group (including a great paralegal with 22 yrs. of
experience in environmental law) on an as-needed basis.  In addition, Mr. Frye can turn to a
group of other highly qualified EHS legal experts who have agreed to assist him as needed (as
sub-contractors, in effect).  These “Resource Lawyers” include former EPA and Department of
Justice lawyers; lawyers with experience dealing with environmental issues in government
agencies and legislatures; and former colleagues whom Mr. Frye worked with and helped train.

These Resource Lawyers will work together electronically, just as lawyers even within the
same firm do now.  So, for matters requiring additional or specialized manpower, Russell Frye
can put together and manage the right team.  Clients pay only for the resources they need, and
they get the resources that match their needs.  The client receives one bill for all of these
    services.
